Jason Spezza and Ray Emery will not admit that the Ottawa Senators have solved the Buffalo Sabres. It sure seems as if they have. Spezza scored two power-play goals and added an assist, while Emery made 35 saves in Ottawa`s 3-1 victory over the Sabres on Saturday night. The Senators have handed the Buffalo three of its six regulation losses this season.

Bruins` Kessel discusses cancer surgery (AP)

Bruins rookie Phil Kessel was shocked when he learned he had testicular cancer. "I couldn`t believe it," Kessel said before Boston`s game against Florida on Saturday night. "It was tough. I had a hard time with it." Kessel, the 19-year-old former University of Minnesota player drafted in the first round this year, is expected to rest for two weeks before getting back on the ice.

Forsberg returns, leaves with concussion (AP)

The defensive-minded New Jersey Devils put on an offensive show at the expense of the New York Rangers.
