Y. C. Wang, founder of Formosa Plastics Group, urged the government on Thursday to open up direct cross-Taiwan Strait transportation link, saying that as a result of which Formosa Plastic Group can move its NT$300 billion mega ethylene complex project from Ningbo, China`s Zhejiang Province, back to Mailiao of Taiwan`s Yunlin County, site of the group`s existing naphtha cracking complex.
